Zakir Husain Library

Established in the year 1922 and subsequently named after Dr. Zakir Husain, former President of India and Vice-Chancellor of JMI, Dr. Zakir Husain Library serves as Central Library of the University. Spread over an area of 1 Lakh sq. ft. and housed in an independent four storey building, Dr. Zakir Husain Central Library is one of the most richly equipped university libraries in the country in terms of resources, services and infrastructures and comprises of a total collection of nearly 4 Lakh books, bound volumes of journals, manuscripts, rare books and a globally acclaimed oriental collection.. The Library is fully automated and extensively leverages modern technologies in delivering its services. Collection is searchable through online catalogue. Providing both on and off campus access to over 17000 full text e-journals, corporate , financial , statistical and citation analysis databases and a large number of e-books, library provides a peaceful, serene and conducive environment for the students, research scholars and faculty members to access a huge variety of learning resources round the year.
