Jamia Senior Secondary school was established by great academicians and visionaries like Dr. Zakir Hussain, Maulana Mehmood Hasan, Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar and Gandhiji who dedicated their lives to the wholesome development of the youth of our country. The multi-dimensional growth of the students has been the top priority in the educational endeavors of Jamia Senior Secondary School, an integral part of the Jamia Millia Islamia, a Central University.

The aim of the school is to give students a sound intellectual, physical and moral education, so that they turn out to be responsible and upright citizens. The aim of the school is to develop the personality of the students and to inculcate in them a sense of self-reliance and self-confidence. Hence the intellectual, cultural, physical, psychological and moral enhancement receives utmost attention. It is primarily due to the unflagging and dedicated services of the team of sincere and devoted teaching staff and their deep concern for every individual student which has together contributed to create an ambience congenial to productive learning.

The curriculum is diverse and combines scholastic and non-scholastic activities in a balanced and effective manner. Students are encouraged to explore educational experiences and areas of study and are taught to be proactive in showcasing their capabilities. The school endeavors to prepare students who are able ambassadors of their institute, community and their country.

The School has its own Board to regulate and conduct Xth and XIIth standard examinations and managed by the University especially to cater to the educational needs of the children of the surrounding localities.
