Saniuddin Khan brings extensive experience in art, design education, and industry practice to his role as Assistant Professor in the Department of Design and Innovation at Jamia Millia Islamia. A versatile and multidisciplinary artist, Sani’s expertise spans visual communication, product design, animation filmmaking, and photography, demonstrating his deep commitment to nurturing creativity and driving innovation in the design field.

Sani holds a Master’s degree in Visual Effects and Animation from the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre at Jamia Millia Islamia and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in  Applied Arts from the same institution. His career includes key positions at prestigious companies such as Ogilvy & Mather, where he worked in print advertising, The Shop Advertising, where he served as an Assistant Art Director and Photographer, and Green Gold Animation Pvt Ltd, where he gained experience in 2D animation, post-production, and digital pre-production.

A significant highlight of his career was his role as Art Director at Eccentric Engine, a tech company where he successfully applied art and design with technology to create innovative solutions. In addition, Sani has held prominent academic roles, including Assistant Professor at GD Goenka University and Sharda University, contributing to the growth of design education.

At Jamia Millia Islamia, Sani is involved in curriculum development and research, focusing on the integration of industry practices with academic learning. He has authored book chapters and research papers on communication design and animation. His leadership extends to overseeing design projects, including branding, animation, and visual communication.

Sani teaches a wide range of subjects, including Form Design, Design Practice & Entrepreneurship, Communication Design, CAD, Sketching, Design Fundamentals, Animation Techniques, Visual Storytelling, and Photography. His courses emphasize practical learning, encouraging students to solve creative problems, embrace entrepreneurship, and apply their design skills for social good.

Alongside his academic career, Sani remains active in the creative industry through collaborations, exhibitions, and design consulting, continually pushing the boundaries of design education and practice.
