Puroo Kumar Roy is an Assistant Professor (Contractual) at the Department of Design and Innovation, Jamia Millia Islamia. He completed his B.Des from Delhi Technological University (formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering) in 2022, followed by an M.Des. with a major in Visual Communication from the same university in 2024. From his previous experiences as a webcomic artist for Bakarmax, research assistant at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), graphic designer at Microland Limited, UI/UX designer at The Titan Company, a game designer at Red Panda Games and a part-time Assistant Professor at College of Art, Delhi, Mr. Roy has developed an expertise in multiple disciplines.

Mr. Roy has an extensive knowledge of game development and animation, having worked on indie games to promote Indian art and heritage. His experience spans concept design, prototyping, mechanics development, and exporting for multiple platforms. Alongside this, he has trained in 2D and 3D animation (including CAD, stop motion and CGI), applying it both in academic teaching and professional practice. In addition to the fields of visual communication, Puroo Roy has also worked in the field of UI/UX design, creating prototypes for multiple companies as a freelancer.
