Dr.  Suresh  Verma  is  a  Broadcaster,  Writer,  Researcher,  Trainer  and  Media  Educator  active  in  Community Development  communication.  He  has  32  years  of  experience  in  the  design,  planning  &  management of participatory communication, production of creative materials, research & training of media studies. Dr. Verma served  in  All  India  Radio as  Programme  Executive  for  15  years  and 17  years  as  Faculty  in  central university  &  coordinator  of  Programming  and  Production  for  Community  Radio.  Trained  by  I.I.T.  Kharagpur  in  media  and I.I.T., Delhi, he has a Triple First class Master's degree in Mass Communication, Economics and Education and a Media Management Doctorate. He taught Electronic Media, Radio production, Script Writing and Communication  Science  at  Jamia  Millia  Islamia's  Mass  Communication  Research  Center.  Dr.  Verma  has  also worked in documentary films & Live T.V. programmes and print media as a writer, presenter and editor. He got intensive raining  in  various  specialized  fields  viz  Radio  Management  (R.T.I.,  Almora),  Outside  Broadcasting, Script  Writing  (Staff Training  Institute,  New  Delhi)  and  Sports  Commentary  Management  (A.I.R.,  Hyderabad). Before  joining  MCRC,  Dr.  Verma  worked  in  All  India  Radio  as  Programme  Executive  &  produced  over  Six Hundred  Radio  Features  (Including  Research  and  Script),  Interviews,  Discussions,  Talks,  etc.  Regional  and National  Level.  He auditioned  and trained  F.M.  Announcers and himself anchored  various Youth and Children programmes. He was selected in the Core Team, which worked prestigious Akashvani Annual Award Screening & Jury. He also contributed to the Sports Management team for Live Running Commentary of 'National Games, 2001 and 2002.  

Dr.  Verma  authored  various  books  and  more  than  two  dozen  research  paper  published  in  reputed  National Magazines  &  Research  journals  &  participated  in  30  National  and  International  Conferences.  His  published articles and books are also taught in Master in  Mass Communication and PGDJMC in state  & central  Universities. Besides, he is part of the Jury in Prestigious Radio & T.V. Annual Awards. The Governor of Haryana  honoured him for his contribution to 'Development of Creativity in Children'. Educational Broadcast, Community  Media,  Media  Psychology  and  Development  support  Communication  are  some  of  his  areas  of specialization.
