Press Release: A Series on “The Transformative Vision of Nai Talim” at Jamia


Dr. K.R. Narayanan Centre for Dalit & Minorities Studies and Institute
of Advanced Studies in Education, Jamia Millia Islamia is going to
organize a three-day Lecture Series called Nai Talim Lecture Series on
the broad area of “The Transformative Vision of Nai Talim: Engagement
with Battle for Knowledge from Colonialism to Neoliberalism” from
March 19-21, 2012.

Prof. Anil Sadgopal, Member, Presidium, All India Forum for Right to
Education & Former Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Delhi on
March 19, 2012 at 10 AM at Faculty of Engineering Auditorium, Jamia
Millia Islamia.

Prof. Sadiq-ur-Rahman Kidwai, Secretary, Ghalib Institute & Former
Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru University will Chair the Inaugural
Function.

Prof. S.M. Rashid, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia will
address the guests and audience in the Inaugural Function.

Under the above mentioned Lecture Series, Prof. Anil Sadgopal will
speak on Macaulayian Framework Vs. Phule-Gandhi-Ambedkar’s
Emancipative Educational Discourse which will be chaired Prof.
Sadiq-ur-Rehman Kidwai, Secretary, Ghalib Institute & Former
Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The other lectures by Prof. Anil Sadgopal in the series are:
