Research Overview

Our research group focuses on the two major aspects of modern biotechnology, primarily on molecular medicine in which we are working to reveal underlying molecular mechanisms and involvement of various signal pathways in the pathogenesis, prognosis of the various diseases as well as development of novel therapies for better management of the diseases. Presently, focus is on the malignancies like colorectal cancer, breast cancer, Arthritis and Diabetes. The other focus area of our research group is Biopolymer material sciences in which we are working on development of Electrochemical Biosensor for detection of cancer biomarkers. Our research group sincerely hopes that our studies will have a tremendous impact in the area of disease diagnosis, prognosis and development of novel anticancer therapies/treatment of various cancers as well as other malignancies. This will provide a platform for better and efficient strategy for treatment with minimal toxicity.
