Press Release: An exhibition on “Dr. Zakir Husain: The Man and His Mission” at Jamia

Jamia Millia Islamia’s Premchand Archives & Literary Centre has curated an exhibition on Dr Zakir Husain’s life.

The exhibition has been occasioned since Dr Zakir Husain’s 115^th Birth Anniversary falls on February 8^th, 2012.

Dr. Zakir Husain was not only the former President of India but also the former Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia and it is this glorious past and heritage which will be showcased through this exhibition. A number of rare documents will also be on view as part of this exhibition.

The exhibition is called “Dr. Zakir Husain: The Man and His Mission” and it will be formally inaugurated by Mr. Najeeb Jung, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia at 11 AM on February 8, 2012. The venue is Jamia’s Premchand Archives & Literary Centre, Al-Beruni Block, Jamia Millia Islamia.

The exhibition will be on view for general public from 10 AM to 5 PM from February 8-14, 2012.
