Press Release: ‘Music from the Borders’ to be played at Jamia

The Centre for North East Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize an event called ‘Music from the Borders’ which is an annual celebration of the culture and music from the North East and will feature Rewben & Saka Mashangva, Nagaland Singing Ambassadors, Cultural Show from Sikkim and Bihu Dance.

Dr. Joginder Paul Sharma, Additional Secretary, Minister of DONER shall be the Chief Guest of the Programme.

Mr. Najeeb Jung, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia will address the audience on this occasion.

Thereafter, the cultural events will begin with a tribute to Dr. Bhupen Hazarika by Dr. Sanghamitra Chaudhary.

The programme will begin at 5 PM on 17^th February, 2012 in Safdar Hashmi Amphitheatre, Jamia Millia Islamia.
