Press Release: Inter-Disciplinary Discussion Group at Jamia

The Inter-Disciplinary Discussion Group of Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize the following talks:

A talk on “Women, Labour and Work in the Mining Sector” by Ms. Sujata Soy, Centre for Jawaharlal Nehru Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia.
A talk on “Status of Women Journalists in Hindi Print Media” by Ms. Ranu Tomar, Centre for Jawaharlal Nehru Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia.
A talk on “Family, State and Everyday Violence” by Ms. Namrata Daniel, Centre for Jawaharlal Nehru Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia.

The purpose is to engage scholars working in different fields to come together and debate and discuss issues which are of contemporary relevance and to give fillip to interdisciplinary engagements on campus.

The event will be presided over by Professor S.M. Rashid, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia on February 22, 2012 at 2.30 PM in Tagore Hall, Jamia Millia Islamia.
