Intoduction
The Faculty of Natural Sciences was established in 1981 with the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Geography. Three years later, the Department of Biosciences was born and became a part of the faculty. Another addition to the faculty was made in 1999 with the creation of the Department of Computer Science.
The faculty offers various diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes. Its undergraduate programmes include B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons.), B.Sc. (Vocational), B.A. (Hons.). At the postgraduate level, the faculty offers Postgraduate Diplomas, M.Sc.(Physics/Chemistry/Biosciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics), M.A., Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A), M.Sc.(Maths) with Computer Science, M. Sc. Tech. Industrial Mathematics with Computer Applications courses.
